it's clear that virtually everyone on here is infuriated by wt teachings/doctrines/practices, but i would really like to know what is of most concern to people who frequent this forum.. here is my top 5, number 1 being the most significant/infuriating:.
the disfellowshipping practice - expanded to include family members (but not parents) who are old enough to leave home.
wrecks families and creates abject fear once people find out the truth about the organization.the blood issue - another unmerciful teaching, but one that costs lives.unquestioned authority of governing body - a handful of men make life-altering decisions as representatives of a larger group of people who they never see or speak to, and yet they demand unquestioning obedience on pain of being disfellowshipped.failed prophecy - the fulfilment of huge swathes of bible prophecy, including revelation, has been attributed to the events of the early 20th century, and the actions of a small group of men.two-tier christianity - faithful and discreet slave are anointed who go to heaven to whom ransom provisions apply directly, whereas remainder, or "great crowd" stay on earth and form a sub-class, only access benefits of ransom through fds.i realise that many of these issues are inter-related, but that's roughly how i would put them.
1. Pedofile protection
2. Oral sex/pleasuring yourself ban/rule/guideline
3. Discouraging higher education or even the prevailing attitude of it's not important to do well during high school
4. Encouraging "the flock" to be judgemental of each others status and service hours
5. Disfellowshipping taken out of context and current emphasis on having zero contact with family that is d'fd
scare mongering videos abound, but this one is a bit better than average.
what they forecast may well happen given another 3-4 generations.
a muslim leader was sayign the same thing here in sydney yesterday.. .
Those that follow this info do seem confident that given the huge difference in their birth rate per woman, versus American or European women( who stastically have significantly less children these days) this is a distinct possibility 20 years from now.
i am so tired of waking up without hope.

Just know that you are being thought of and people you haven't even met yet care about you. I'm still nowhere, but I've always enjoyed your comments.

i told my kids about conservation and the environment and cleaned up litter in my own home!

This year didn't seem to garner as much attention, with so many other disastrous new stories going on. I already recycle and switched to cloth napkins (do it, you'll love it). I'm working on just buying less "stuff".

since coming to know ttatt, i have always wondered if there are others in the congregation who also share similar experience with me, are there pointers to identifying others who are also faking meeting attendance and fs activities..
Jwfacts, that's exactly what in experiencing. It is so frustrating. I'm learning to just walk way. Anyone I've tried to have an intelligent conversation with freaks out. I think, if you are still in, facebook is your best best. Posting social causes you care about, pictures of you happy and involved with friends and volunteer events, comments about appreciating and loving life seem to be a good course. Just my personal perspective as I try to wake a few up.
